Empowered & Poised originated due to Leah’s personal experience with anxiety and body image issues. She also realized the need to equip girls to be Empowered & Poised through her experiences mentoring, volunteering, talking with her own friends, and teaching an all girls physical education class.

At Empowered & Poised, we empower and educate young people through programs that support social, emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Our girls groups are led by licensed mental health professionals and focus on confidence, leadership, stress management, communication, healthy friendships, and other important life skills. We also provide resources for parents, educators, and mentors to help support young people in building self-esteem, resilience, and confidence.
