I am a mom, but I have never experienced loss. However, after experiencing the beauty that birth brings, I couldn’t imagine having those moments taken away from me. I thought about those moms and what they go through. So, I called my local hospital and gifted them a basket that would be given to a mom who experienced a loss. I just wanted her to know that she was not alone and that others were thinking of her. That hospital not only used that basket, but they asked for more. Surrounding locations learned of Forget-Me-Not Baskets and started to reach out as well. I quickly learned that I stumbled upon an unmet need in our community and I, and an amazing group of women who surrounded me, decided to do something out it.
