Story behind the business
After graduating from The Ohio State University, I spent five years at a small CPA firm providing bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, and tax services, and earned my CPA license in early 2025. I loved the work, but not the commute, the six-day tax seasons, or watching clients get rushed through a short appointment and handed paperwork nobody would read again. I started Rooted Number Co. to be the opposite of that: an advocate who knows your books all year, so your numbers actually help you make decisions and you have real support behind you when the return gets filed.
